ERIC Education Abstract Database
ERIC is a guideline of published and unpublished works in Education sorted by the American Education Resources Information Center, covering several thousand themes in Education and offering the most comprehensive catalogue in Education. The database contain all non-journal materials published in Resources in Education and the references of articles published in Current Index to Journals in Education, covering almost all materials in terms of Education. ERIC contains more than 1,000 journals and other materials with more than 1.55 million entries, including an ERIC wordlist and about 240,000 articles can be read for free. Themes in this database include adult education, vocational education, education evaluation, disabled and talent education, primary school and children education, higher education, city education, education management, information and technology, linguistics and phonetics, reading and communication, teacher and teacher education. ClasePeriodica Latin American journal abstract database comprises two parts: Clase and Periodica, the former of which is an index for Latin American journals in Social Sciences and the Humanities, while the latter of which is an index for Latin American journals in Science and Technology. ProceedingsFirst is the related database of PapersFirst and it is an index of conference lists of every conference, meeting, exhibition, seminar, professional meeting, lecture held worldwide. It covers all the materials published in seminars, conferences, exhibitions, lectures and meetings provided by the British Library Literature Center since 1993 and each entry contains a detailed list of the articles submitted to each conference, providing a general view of all activities with a total entry of 480,000. The database is updated twice per week.
U.S. Government Printing Office
The U.S. Government Printing Office was created by the Publication Agency of the U.S. government and it covers various government documents, including the reports, hearings, debates, notes and judicial materials of the government as well as documents issued by the administrative departments (the Department of Defense, the State Council, the White House and so on). OAIster international integrated agency knowledge base is the project supported by the American Mellon Foundation in the Michigan University in 2002, which has been developed as the biggest open material database in the world, providing digital resources for researchers in many disciplines. There are nearly 330,000 entries from 1,100 libraries and research agencies, including digitized books and journals, original digital literature, audiovisual documents, images, film materials, data collections, articles, technology reports, research reports and so on. Every entry contains the link for the complete content of the digital resource and users can read, download and save a large amount of pictures and contents. The update frequency of the database is once per 3 months.
